Dore Freemasons' Hall, Sheffield

LOCATED ON ABBEYDALE ROAD SOUTH WITH AMPLE CAR PARKING OFF DORE ROAD, A 5 MINUTE WALK FROM DORE & TOTLEY STATION AND EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY BUS FROM SHEFFIELD CITY CENTRE

Woodland View, which would become Dore Freemasons' Hall was constructed between 1877 & 1879 with its Grand Opening in July of that year.

Originally it was the home of the Sheffield & Rotherham Victuallers Association.

Freemasonry has had a home at Dore Freemasons' Hall since 1890 when the Lodge Room and one of the cottages were rented by the newly established Chantrey Lodge.

Between 1914 & 1919 Woodland View served as an Auxiliary Hospital.

Dore Masonic Hall Company Ltd was incorporated in August 1951 and subsequently purchased the building.
